During our stay in Accra this year, we visited the Movenpick twice, once for a comedy show and the other for the bar. The striking feature of this hotel is its sheer size which commands majesty. It’s also in a great location, within close proximity to Independence Square, the Kwame Nkrumah Museum, the Osu shopping district and literally across the road from the National theatre. The interior features of the hotel are very pristinely designed, boasting luxury and indulgence. The one thing that stood out to us within the hotel was the art exhibited in the hobby and along the hallways, these were beautiful pieces which were representative of Ghanaian culture. The service within the bar was courteous and the prices in line with other venues of the same calibre.

I come to Movenpick almost every time I come to Ghana. It is probably one of the most luxurious hotels in Ghana. The pool and lounge area are very well maintained and you can have drinks while you relax. The waiters around this area are on roller skates which adds a bit of twist to the service and it’s great fun to watch. I have also had a deep tissue massage downstairs in the health/spa section, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect as the lady asked me about 8 times what treatment I wanted, I guess she wanted to be extremely sure…the massage did the trick to my aching back and it was quite affordable too.
