Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,

May we by this medium invite you to attend and participate in our once-in-a-month music concert;Shekinah Nite, which will by the grace of God hold on Saturday, the 14th day of May 2016 at #13, Otunba Adeleke Adeshina Street, Lekki Phase 1 at 5.00pm.

This month’s edition will be dedicated to the memory of Pa’ Yinusa Akinnibosun a.k.a Baba YS who joined the Saints Triumphant on Monday, the 14th of March 2016. Baba YS who was probably the greatest saxophonist to come out of Nigeria, spent the last ten years of his life quietly and unobtrusively blowing his sax like nobody else could to the glory of God at every edition of Shekinah Nite.

To minister at this event will be an array of saxophonists who gather to honour the memory of Baba YS. They include Imoleayo, a Jazz instructor at the MUSON Center and also a passionate lover of Jesus Christ; our very own Funmi Sax who has over the years become a fully accomplished saxophonist and worshipper. We also have for the first time, Ayomide Akinnibosun, teenage grandson of YS Akinnibosun who will minister also on the Sax. To add spice to the event will be OPE Band, an ensemble of female musicians put together by the instrumentality of Prof Yemi Osinbajo, the current Vice-President of Nigeria. Outside of the above, we will have Anne Akalusi, an exceptional worshipper who is the head of the choir at Guiding Light Assembly.

We therefore, invite you along with your family and friends to attend and participate in this event that marks the end of the funeral proceedings for Baba YS. The venue is easily accessible from either the Ikoyi/Lekki Toll Bridge or the Lekki/Épe Expressway. From either it is a straight drive down Admiralty Way with a left turn into Babatunde Anjous at the 21st Century Junction. Thereafter, it is the first right into Jeremiah Ugwu and then the second left into Adeleke Adeshina Street. For those who prefer to, comfortable transportation is provided from our previous location at 252, Murtala Muhammed Way, Yaba Lagos, bus leaves at 4:30 prompt.

Do come!
